Sexual abuse
Few wrongs are more devastating, or more often buried by the institutions in a position to prevent them. I represent survivors of sexual abuse in civil litigation, work that I approach with discretion and without any pressure on a client to move faster than they’re ready to. Holding an abuser accountable — and, where it applies, the organization that enabled or ignored the abuse — is difficult and deeply personal work. I take these cases seriously enough to give them the care and privacy they require.

I represent people who have suffered real, lasting harm because someone else was careless. These are not cases about minor inconvenience; they’re about lives that have been permanently altered. Medical malpractice
We place profound trust in the people who care for us, and when that trust is broken through negligence, the harm is often catastrophic and irreversible. I represent patients and families harmed by preventable medical errors — not the difficult outcomes that medicine sometimes carries despite everyone’s best efforts, but the injuries that competent care would have avoided. These cases are demanding, expensive to build, and heavily defended, which is exactly why they call for a lawyer who takes on few enough of them to do each one right.
Consumer protection
Companies count on the fact that most people won’t push back — that the cost of fighting will outweigh the harm, so the harm gets absorbed and the practice continues. I represent consumers who were deceived, overcharged, or defrauded by businesses that assumed no one would hold them accountable. Individually these cases are often about a sum that a company would rather you forget; taken seriously, they’re about forcing that company to answer for what it did. I bring the same rigor to them that I once brought to defending the companies on the other side.

Most people spend more of their waking hours at work than anywhere else, which is precisely why mistreatment there cuts so deep. I represent employees who have faced discrimination, retaliation, harassment, or wrongful termination — people who did their jobs and were punished for who they are, for speaking up, or for refusing to look the other way. The power imbalance in these cases is real, and closing it takes someone willing to prepare the matter thoroughly rather than settle it cheaply.

Not every serious wrong is a personal injury; sometimes it’s a partner who breached trust, a contract that was never honored, or a business relationship that was exploited. I represent people and companies in disputes where something real is at stake — money, ownership, the survival of the business itself. My career began in corporate defense litigation, and I bring that same discipline to representing the party that was wronged rather than the one that did the wronging.
